Biographies:<\/p>\n

Susannah Mars: is a nationally recognized actress and singer who makes her home in the Pacific Northwest. She is the host of Artslandia\u2019s Adventures in Artslandia. A lifelong performing artist, Ms. Mars has appeared in over one hundred productions, concerts and television shows, including, most recently, at Portland Opera where she was Mrs. Lovett in Sweeny Todd. She has appeared as Eva in Evita, Margaret in The Light In The Piazza, Mistress Hibbins in Scarlet, and was Golde in and others.<\/p>\n

Eric Little: is a pianist, singer, and actor. He began his musical studies on piano at the age of five, having grown up with his grandparents upright and his mother\u2019s collection of classical music recordings. Alongside classical music he has also performed in theatre from a young age. He studied music at St. Olaf College, where he sang with the St. Olaf Choir for three years. He has since worked many theatre companies, including Portland Center Stage (Fun Home \u2013 Conductor, Sweeney Todd \u2013 Tobias, Last Five Years \u2013 Pianist), Portland Playhouse (Christmas Carol \u2013 Music Director, Actor), Artists Repertory Theatre (Next to Normal \u2013 Conductor) Portland Opera (Showboat and The Italian Girl in Algiers \u2013 Principal Accompanist), and Broadway Rose (Into the Woods \u2013 The Baker, The Drowsy Chaperone \u2013 Conductor).<\/p>\n

Katrina Galka: Ms. Galka is a three-time regional award winner in the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions. She is a first-place winner of the Mario Lanza Scholarship and has received further awards from the National Opera Association Vocal Competition, Marcello Giordani International Vocal Competition, and the Heida Hermanns International Vocal Competition. She is also a Level I YoungArts award winner in Musical Theater. She holds a Master of Music from Boston University and earned a Bachelor of Music from Southern Methodist University, from which she graduated summa cum laude.<\/p>\n

Students of all skill levels will enjoy three hours of intense study with some of American Music Theatre\u2019s best, and will focus on style, technique, and performance quality with instructors who will be performing THE FANTASTICKS at CIFCET. <\/p>\n

Students will have the opportunity to work, publicly, on such subjects as song interpretation, stage presence and vocal technique using songs of their own choice. Please bring sheet music and accompanist will be provided.<\/p>\n

Instructors will intersperse student work with performances of their personal material.<\/p>\n

Biographies:<\/p>\n

Susannah Mars: is a nationally recognized actress and singer who makes her home in the Pacific Northwest. She is the host of Artslandia\u2019s Adventures in Artslandia. A lifelong performing artist, Ms. Mars has appeared in over one hundred productions, concerts and television shows, including, most recently, at Portland Opera where she was Mrs. Lovett in Sweeny Todd. She has appeared as Eva in Evita, Margaret in The Light In The Piazza, Mistress Hibbins in Scarlet, and was Golde in and others.<\/p>\n

Eric Little: is a pianist, singer, and actor. He began his musical studies on piano at the age of five, having grown up with his grandparents upright and his mother\u2019s collection of classical music recordings. Alongside classical music he has also performed in theatre from a young age. He studied music at St. Olaf College, where he sang with the St. Olaf Choir for three years. He has since worked many theatre companies, including Portland Center Stage (Fun Home \u2013 Conductor, Sweeney Todd \u2013 Tobias, Last Five Years \u2013 Pianist), Portland Playhouse (Christmas Carol \u2013 Music Director, Actor), Artists Repertory Theatre (Next to Normal \u2013 Conductor) Portland Opera (Showboat and The Italian Girl in Algiers \u2013 Principal Accompanist), and Broadway Rose (Into the Woods \u2013 The Baker, The Drowsy Chaperone \u2013 Conductor).<\/p>\n

Katrina Galka: Ms. Galka is a three-time regional award winner in the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions. She is a first-place winner of the Mario Lanza Scholarship and has received further awards from the National Opera Association Vocal Competition, Marcello Giordani International Vocal Competition, and the Heida Hermanns International Vocal Competition. She is also a Level I YoungArts award winner in Musical Theater. She holds a Master of Music from Boston University and earned a Bachelor of Music from Southern Methodist University, from which she graduated summa cum laude.<\/p>\n

\u2013 About the Workshop:<\/p>\n

Students of all skill levels will enjoy three hours of intense study with some of American Music Theatre\u2019s best, and will focus on style, technique, and performance quality with instructors who will be performing THE FANTASTICKS at CIFCET. <\/p>\n

Students will have the opportunity to work, publicly, on such subjects as song interpretation, stage presence and vocal technique using songs of their own choice. Please bring sheet music and accompanist will be provided.<\/p>\n

Instructors will intersperse student work with performances of their personal material.<\/p>\n
